From Is Cannoneris to Calamixi

The path to Calamixi is very easy to perform, therefore suitable for families with children. Start from the Is Cannoneris car park near the fountain. The length is about 2 kilometers to reach a ridge, S’arcu de su mori. The path is well marked and quite wide, it has been cleaned several times and, in some places, barriers have been put in to protect from accidental falls, today unfortunately in ruins. At about half way we find benches put in a circle, useful for those who want to stop for refreshment. at the end of the path described here we come to S’arcu de su mori.

Here we find a bench where to rest and admire the Calamixi gorge below. The path continues well marked with indications to reach Punta Calamixi. This however is more complex and suitable for experienced people. You can also follow a small path that leads us down into the gorge where we find the stream that forms small ponds to reach a narrow passage between the rocky walls of a few meters. However, this is also recommended for experienced people because in some it is very difficult.
